During the past few weeks, our fellow villagers could sign up for a free heat scan of their house. DWE has now received 30 registrations. A heat scan is a thermographic picture that shows the differences in temperature and where heat is leaking from the house. In this way we can make visible whether the insulation has been properly installed everywhere, whether there is no unnecessary energy loss and where there is still room for improvement. We were able to use a heat scan camera from Peter Janson. Last week it started to freeze again during the evenings and the weather conditions were almost optimal to carry out the scans. We visited the registered addresses on three evenings. The residents were asked in advance to make preparations in the house: heating at room temperature for 24 hours, closing any ventilation grilles and opening the curtains. Read more here
